Our huge gardens are the perfect place to run and let off steam, with nooks and crannies to explore and hide! There is table tennis and croquet for a bit of family competition. The Duchess’ swimming pool has now been stocked with trout so even young ones can have a go at catching their supper. David Buncle our local falconer can bring his beautiful birds into our garden and archery can be arranged. The library has a games cupboard as well as children’s books and DVDs.

Canoeing
See the River Tamar from a canoe. Set off from Cotehele and come ashore at Calstock.

Cycling
There are miles and miles of off road cycle pathways in the area and close by a wooded cycle way.

Horse riding
Right on the edge of the moor.

Tree Surfing
Children and adults can enjoy tree top obstacle course with tree jumping and zip wires. 8yrs +
Children’s tea is available from 6pm. Children over the age of six are welcome to eat dinner with their parents in the restaurant. Alternatively we can provide private dining for families who wish to dine together. Baby-sitting can be arranged. We also provide a listening service.

We have five beautiful suites which can sleep two adults and up to three children, including our Lodge at the top of the drive which has a private fenced garden. Nearly all the other rooms have space to comfortably fit a z-bed or two and we have plenty of cots and even a crib for newborns.
