Through breathwork you will be guided to balance action and rest by embracing both sides of your nervous system—moving from a busy mind to deep stillness. Master the art of noticing, practicing, and releasing. We need our sympathetic system for energy and action just as much as we need our parasympathetic system for rest. It’s not about fearing stress, but finding the harmony between a focused mind and a still body.

Yoga
Our physical yoga practice will help us explore how we conceptualise challenge—what we’re actually building toward when we put good habits and supports in place. Not effortlessness, but the capacity to meet hard things when they arise. Through postures and philosophy, we’ll work with the balance of effort and ease. We’ll also develop a sharper awareness of when to push a little harder and when to pull back and rest—learning, in other words, how to regulate ourselves.

Nutrition
Nurturing our bodies and meeting their nutritional needs is foundational to resilience and our ability to thrive in any situation. By applying the principles of nutritional therapy, we can support the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, helping the body respond and recover more effectively from stress. A targeted approach that builds a strong nutritional foundation and supports the nervous system during periods of increased demand can greatly enhance our capacity to navigate challenges with greater balance, energy, and well-being.
Sample schedule
7.30 AM Tea/Coffee in sitting room
8 AM Yoga (60 minutes) and meditation (15 minutes)
9.15 AM Breakfast
Free Time: Swim, massage, infrared etc
1 PM Lunch buffet (gluten-, sugar-, and lactose-free)
2 PM Walk
Free Time—Swim, massage, infrared sauna
6 PM Breathwork
7.15 PM Three course dinner (gluten, sugar and lactose-free)
Short village stroll after dinner
Packing List
Bring all weather gear along with your yoga kit. There are wellington boots provided in all sizes by the hotel but for those serious walkers you may want to bring walking boots
Terms
50% deposit on booking with the remainder to be paid at the end of the stay. Cancellation less than 14 days prior to arrival incurs a loss of the deposit. Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice incurs loss of the full stay.
This retreat is designed for students with some yoga knowledge.
