Tulip Festival Retreat
You are invited to discover five beautiful gardens, each of which will have a glorious display of tulips this spring.
Friston Place
On Sunday, you are invited to Friston Place, the 16th century grade 1 listed home of Olga Polizzi, to visit her private garden that will be alight with a display of tulips. Guests will be offered a glass of Champagne on the terrace or in the Great Hall depending on the weather.
The enchanting Arundel Castle Tulip Festival
On Monday guests will have a private tour of the garden at Arundel Castle. Both the castle and its garden are closed on Mondays, so guests are lucky to have a private tour with the brilliant horticulturalist and Head Gardener, Martin Duncan. The Tulip Festival will be at its best. It is considered one of the most stunning tulip displays in Europe with more than 100,000 tulips in bloom. After lunch will be a visit to Parham House, for a private tour of this historic house, lovely walled garden and pleasure gardens.
Pashley Manor carpeted in over 40.000 tulips
Tuesday begins with a tour of the tulip festival and gardens at Pashley Manor, hosted by the head gardener. Pashley Manor’s annual tulip festival has become a must-see spectacle in the gardener’s spring calendar, with over 40,000 tulips on display. After lunch, on to Great Dixter, for a private tour of this renowned garden made famous by Christopher Lloyd. Dinner will be served at The Star on the last night of this garden retreat, and guests will say their goodbyes on the Wednesday.
In true Arts and Crafts style, the garden at Great Dixter is divided by walls and hedges into a sequence of rooms, each with its own distinct character
