Jon managed greenspaces in Falmouth and Truro beforw developing his own consultancy for landscaping and design. In 1998 he met Olga Polizzi and helped to restore the gardens for her new hotel in St Mawes.  Jon took advantage of the microclimate which St Mawes offers to create a Cornish garden embedded in to the steep hillside above the sea.
