Dartmoor National Park is a vast great wilderness. Moorland ponies roam its craggy landscape of forests, rivers and tors. Trails wind through valleys with Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses. The area is dotted with pretty villages, pubs and tea rooms.
There are many beautiful circular walks. Each room has an OS map and walking pack for guests to use during their stay. The kitchen can provide picnics packed into a rucksack. There are boots and jackets to borrow in every size.
